Social media news releases get more publicity for your event

 

Just like the media for which it was created, the traditional news release seems to be on it's last legs.  What seems to be emerging as it's replacement, however, is streamlined, highly useful to journalists and a wonderful tool for event planners.  Cheryl Lawson of The Perfect Date Events, talks a little about how she uses it.

Great stuff. Social media has come a long way, but there's so much more to look forward to. The link to "Die, Press Release, Die!" isn't working, just to let ya know! :)

Yes, the dreaded Press Release has been transformed into something journalists actually appreciate and look forward to receiving. Having been on both sides of that fence, I'm very glad about this development.
