I’m Co-Owner and Marketing Director of Icon Presentations, audio visual for events located in the Palm Springs area of Southern California. Icon provides video, audio, lighting and wide-screen technological support to event producers and planners across the country. Past clients include Palm Springs International Film Festival, Honeywell, Catapillar, Pfizer many more.
I’m married to my business partner, Mike Fryatt. We have two teenagers (one has flown the coop and is at college in Canada.) My background includes print & broadcast journalism, PR, theater production and acting.
I’m a great believer in social media and the rapidly evolving events industry and I’m very happy to be able to use my journalism skills to follow and write about these fascinating subjects here on Sound 'n Sight.
I am also Community Manager for Engage365, an online community for events professionals interested in innovation and social media. This entails creating, curating and promoting content as well as moderating chats and keeping the community engaged.
I have studied and performed improv for the past 6 years. The concepts, which teach valuable leadership, team building & self-improvement skills have had a huge and positive impact on my life. I've begun to share what I've learned in workshops and interactive conference presentations that feature discussion & improv games.
OH, and when I grow up I want to be Maude, from Harold & Maude.
