Not long ago I read an article in Ode Magazine about how resilience, rather than sustainability should be our goal when thinking about saving our environment. It really got me thinking about how important the distinction was and how it could be applied to many other issues in our lives.

EventCamp National Conference: An interview with Mike McCurry

 
Mike McCurry resized 600Just days away, Feb. 11-13, EventCamp National Conference (ECNC) promises to be an exciting amalgamation of social media experts, events industry thought leaders, crowd sourced content and lively engagement.

It will be the second such conference organized by EventCamp founders Christina Coster, Jessica Levin, Mike McAllen, Jeff Hurt and Mike McCurry.  But it will be the fourth EventCamp ever held.

Social media is a truly new and alien world to all of us, and being so, we often find that the traditional ways we got along with others don't always apply.  For instance, in the past you'd never presume to know someone unless you'd met them in person first.  You wouldn't share intimate or personal information with strangers. You'd take the time to get to know them first.
