The Internet is rife with stories of friendships made, partnerships built and lives changed.  But it seems to move so fast that we often miss them. 

A few weeks ago, my friend #eventprofs Community Manager Adrian Segar and I held a Google Hangout On Air to share everything we know about moderating Twitter chats.  Between the two of us, we've probably moderated hundreds of them.

Almost as soon as event organizers began to see the value of using hashtags to organize tweets related to an event, applications began to pop up to make the information sharing more user-friendly. Thus, we've seen Twitterfalls, hashtag archivers and tweet curation platforms with varying degrees of adoption by event professionals.

This year's top 10 blog posts once again proved that Sound & Sight readers are a progressive bunch interested in improving their skills with regard to events and social media.

I don't remember which of Amit Verma's Modern Life blog posts first caught my attention. What I do remember is that it was inspiring and amazingly insightful and it caused me to want to know more about the writer.

Information is gold in social media. Those who share quality information get noticed. Those who create quality content become leaders. It could conceivably be argued that on Twitter sharing links to quality information is the native tongue.
